Weekly Update - w/c 5 May
Despite this week being only 4 days long, we have manged to cram a lot of excitement in.
On Wednesday, all children in Early Years enjoyed a visit from Ark Farm. The farmer talked to the children about all the different animals and then they got to meet the animals including goats, sheep and a donkey. The children enjoyed petting and grooming the animals in the sunshine.
On Friday, the whole school participated in a Music / DT day when each year group made their own musical instruments. The children in Reception used boxes, cups and yoghurt pots to create their own shakers. The children enjoyed this activity and were very proud of their shakers. Our carpet area became an orchestra pit, with a conductor leading the play of the many shakers. The children then joined in a (very noisy) whole school assembly to show their instruments and play them. Thank you to everyone for their kind donations to support this event.
On Friday, we also had to bid goodbye to our class chicks whom we had grown very fond of since they hatched. This week, the children have had lots of opportunities to watch the chicks grow, seeing their wing feathers develop. All the children had the chance to hold or pet the chicks, throughout the week, which they did with much gentleness.
